Leenen, Heidi

Heidi Leenen was born in 1962 in the Lower Rhine region. As a kindergarten teacher and after training in music education, she co-founded a school for early musical education.

Since 2009, Heidi Leenen has been writing musical picture books and concert concepts. With her cheerful, interactive readings in daycare centers, elementary schools and at reading festivals, she sensitively introduces children to classical music, gets them listening and moving. "Emma" and the adventures of the "Zoo Orchestra" inspire families as far away as China. All the books are accompanied by a wide range of materials for daycare centers, elementary schools and special needs schools.

With "Emma staunt" as a cardboard picture book for little hands, "Das Emma-Projekt" as a workbook for daycare centers and elementary schools, and "Emma - Ohne dich wär` die Welt nur hal so schön!" DIN-A-3 picture cards for kamishibai, valuable formats have been added.
